After we went to Lake Fayetteville on Saturday we headed over to Gentry to visit their Wildlife Drive-Thru Safari and Petting Zoo. It was great, even though it started hailing on us as soon as we got into the 5-mile drive. The cloud soon passed, though and we got to see some great animals. I didn't get any good photos of the lions and bears (who were buffing when we passed by) because of the rain.

Silas in the car, looking forward to the animals.

Wolves! We all started howling.

This emu came right up to our car and pecked at the window. You're not supposed to feed the animals on the drive, but obviously some people do. This guy was wanting some food!

Needless to say, emus were NOT Silas' favorite animal.

Everybody's got a water buffalo. Yours is fast, but mine is slow. (Sorry for the VeggieTales reference, but I had to.)

He wasn't too interested in us when he realized we weren't going to feed him. At least he didn't spit on us.

Feeding the miniature ponies.

These deer were really gentle and very cute.
