It's unusually hot this June and the only consolations are pools and Popsicles.
Silas and Christian had a good time goofing off in the pool one afternoon while Eli and I took a nap.
We're all enjoying having extra time with Daddy. He's finished his dissertation (except for edits) and he was able to take two weeks of paternity leave off from work. We've not only had him in the mornings, but in the afternoons and evenings as well! Plenty of time for silly faces.
The pool has now been transformed into a home for two turtles that Chewy's found for us. Silas enjoys ripping leaves off my lettuce plants and feeding them to the turtles. He's named them Franklin and Poyd. I'm not sure where he got Poyd.
He copied a picture and made an apple out of Play-Do. It's not a great close up of it, but it was actually really well done, with the correct shape for the apple and a brown stem and green leaf.
