Chores

Yesterday I was unloading the dishwasher and called Silas to do his share, putting away the silverware.  He was in the middle of a Lego battle, so he wasn't the happiest helper ever.  But he got started doing it while I was unloading the rest. 
After putting a few away, he comes up and gives me a kiss.  "Oh, how sweet," I think.  Then he walks back to his Legos. 
"Silas, you haven't finished your job." 
He returns and puts away another handful of silverware.  Then he again comes and gives me a kiss.  "Such a kind-hearted boy." 
I turn around and he's playing with his Legos again.  "Silas, you have to finish your job!"
He tries one more time, again giving me a kiss after one small handful of silverware.  "That's really wonderful of you, Silas, but you still have to finish your job!"
At least he's getting creative in his attempts to get out of his chores.
