We had a wonderful Christmas this year. We spread it out over three days and got to enjoy our time with everyone.
On Christmas Eve we went to my sister's house. We actually got there on the 23rd so we could wake up and spend the morning and early afternoon with them.
My mom was there. It was nice to get to have all of us together.
After having a Christmas lunch with them, Christian had to go to work and I took the boys to a Christmas Eve service in Fayetteville. It was a nice service with good music and singing, along with communion. Silas had his first communion, which he took very seriously. Christian got off early enough that he was only a few minutes late for it. This is definitely something that I want to keep doing every year.
After the service we went down to the Square. They had strung thousands upon thousands of lights up around it and had different things to do, like pony rides, horse-drawn carriages and reindeer. There were a few things closed because it was Christmas Eve, but there also weren't very many people there. I think this was Silas' first pony ride.
