We spent a couple of days in London with Christian's parents and managed to pack in a lot of things.
Silas with Grandpa and Grandma after arriving at the hotel.
Eli goofing in the highchair at dinner.
On the train from our hotel into London.
Grandma and Grandpa on the train.
Buckingham Palace.
Waiting for the changing of the guards.
Eli waiting for the big parade.
Here they are!
Outside the Guards Museum, which was a good one to go to for history/army buffs. They had some of the colors flown at the Battle of Waterloo (1815), as well as some French colors and an eagle that had been won.
Silas dressed up in a bearskin hat, being as still, straight, and serious as possible.
Us in St. James' Park. Gorgeous time of year to go, it was fairly warm and all the flowers were in bloom.
Buckingham Palace across the lake.
St. James Park.
The Admiralty Arch.
Trafalgar Square with Admiral Nelson at the top.
Christian and Silas waited in line for 45 minutes so they could ride on the London Eye together. Both Grandma and I had done it before, so we waited in the park with Eli and Grandpa.

Big Ben and Houses of Parliament behind Silas.

The end of our day in London. Right after this, we got onto a packed Tube during rush hour and managed to get back to our hotel without getting mugged or losing a child to the crowd. I will forever remember keeping eye contact with Silas so he wouldn't get overwhelmed by the immense amount of people pushing in on him on the Tube, and him getting banged around quite a bit by everyone's shoulder bags as they got off the train. We also met up with Christian's cousin, Edward, while in London but I somehow managed to not take one photo.
